     That's how the players arrived, in around 10 separate vehicles, parked wherever they could fit: on the street, in the driveway, at the neighboring church.  But what force compelled them to Joel's ark?  Was it survival?  Nope.  Curiosity?  Nah.

Wednesday Provo Casuals at Hully's

Joel's Casuals

After coming down with a severe case of school, Hully regrettably cancelled Provo casuals tonight. But from the looks of it, that didn't stop 11 people from changing plans and carpooling to Joel's house in West Jordan. Utah wants the in-person fighting game experience, and Joel provided a venue.

From 6:30-10:00pm, they practiced Street Fighter and Marvel. Some did it for fun, some to prepare for this weekends 2014 Great Salt Ranbat #1. Even after the ranbat, Joel would like to hold more regular casuals in the future, just not Wednesdays so Provo can have their turn.

Looks like we could have a few days of casuals every week if schedules work out. Utah is turning from fighting game desert to fighting game oasis. Let's keep up the support!

Tuesday Casuals at Cottonwood Heights

Tuesday, March 18th, from 5pm-8pm, Casey Rose held casuals for AE and TTT2 at his home in Cottonwood Heights (it's north of Sandy and south of I-215).   Mark, David, Joel, and even Casey himself attended the first-ever casuals.  Pizza was eaten, games were played...it sounded like a good time.

Casey says, "I will consistently be having Monday and Tuesday off so I will probably do more in the future. I am in a pretty central-ish location so it shouldn't be too hard for people to get here, also right by a freeway exit."

Good luck, Casey.  There's nothing wrong with more casuals in Utah, right?

Hully's Casuals in Provo tomorrow

Hully hosted a 13-player casuals session last Wednesday, and he's looking for more this week.  Main games are always SF4AE2012 and UMvC3, but TTT2 and SC5 were played as well.

This would be a great opportunity to train and play some of your future opponents before the SLC Ranbat #1 2014 this Saturday.
